Anyhow glad all is ok with ya both n you`re not in the floods or the fires .. been following the bushfires thru Twitter n have been astounded at how immense n fast the fires ripped thru townships :(

Apparently the correct technique is twist and lift, which works very well for fully ripe apples that aren't on the ends of twigs. For all others where this fails, I've been relying on the 'grip between forefinger and thumb and rip off the tree' plan of attack. Today was day 5 and we started the day keen as, and ended the day absolutely hating it because it was very hot and the trees we picked didn't have many apples on them making it slow work. We're hoping tomorrow is better.
